Prescription Verification Process
(For U.S. Customers Only)
Coloredeyes cares about your eye health. In compliance with the Fairness to Contact Lens Consumers Act (FCLCA), we are required to verify your prescription before shipping lenses to U.S. customers.
How It Works
Submit Your Prescription
Upload a valid copy (photo/scan) when creating an account or during checkout.
Or send it by email to service@coloredeyes.com
with your name and order ID.
Verification With Your Prescriber
Provide your eye doctor’s name and contact information (email/phone).
We will send them a verification request.
Your prescriber has 8 business hours (Mon–Fri, 9 a.m.–5 p.m., excluding federal holidays) to respond.
Automatic Approval
If the prescriber does not respond within 8 business hours, the prescription will be automatically verified, and we may ship your order.
Don’t Have a Prescription?
If you don’t have a valid contact lens prescription, please schedule an eye exam with a licensed eye care professional. Some online services can also help you obtain one.
